The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is a national competition which recognizes students in grades 7 through 12 for their accomplishments in art and writing.  This 81 year old organization has awarded some of the United States most treasured artists and writers when they were mere high school students.  Some of those esteemed alumni are Andy Warhol, Robert Redford, Joyce Carol Oates, Truman Capote and Sylvia Plath.  We congratulate all of the regional winners and look forward to their continued success.

The Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky region is sponsored by Crestview Hills Mall, Summerfair, Inc., KnowledgeWorks Foundation and the Covington Rotary.  On behalf of the young artists this region serves, we thank these organizations for supporting the arts, but more importantly, for supporting an open door to a possibility of immeasurable riches for these students and the lives they touch.
